 "The Prince William Sound,located in south central Alaska, is home to many active glaciers that crawl out of the Chugach Mountains. Meares Glacier is located at the end of the Unawik Inlet. At the terminus the glacier is 1,6km wide and has a face of ice about 60m high. In summer there are daily boat tours to the glacier out of the town of Valdez.
