Hi all !
I've got many ideas in mind but would also love to hear what people think. So, what would your favourite road trip look like ? Distance, duration, places to visit, things to do... Please share your ideas !

Hello,

For me ( i'm travelling from France) the ideal trip :
duration 3 weeks at least
road trip : depending, i like to discover some new places, but i also like to coming back to my favorite's !!
it's really nice to insert some states switches by plane or car. That allow you to see opposite landscape, climate etc.

for example one of my trip start from alaska and finish at San Francisco
Another start from hawaii and finish at boston !!!

That imporatnat and really interesting to travel by car see people, little town, another US view than most knew point of interest !!

One thing is sure, each trip is US (whatever duration an place), is a real pleasure for me

Hi there

My wild dream would drive me along Route 66 from start to arrival and return to Chicago through an alternate itinerary north of 66 [;)]
Trip would stretch on more or less two months, at least [:)]
Otherwise, I wish I could litterally drive in the trail of the presidential campaign !
There is so much to write, so list goes on

Thanks to you both for your replies. I'd also love to drive along the route 66, or starting from New York to California... I'm also thinking of driving from Texas to California, following the mexican border... So many places to explore, I really hope to do something in 2009 [8D]
